Im Gospel ist sie heute genauso zuhause wie im Jazz, wo Billie Holiday, Betty Carter und Dinah Washington zu ihren Vorbildern zählen. Zahlreiche Auftritte führten sie unter anderem nach Frankreich (wo sie zur Zeit lebt), Spanien, Kroatien, Russland, Schweiz und Deutschland. Jan Luley gehört seit vielen Jahren zur Spitze europäischer Jazzpianisten. Sein weites Spektrum technischer und musikalischer Fähigkeiten auf den 88 Tasten seines Instrumentes, haben ihn zu einem stilistischen Grenzgänger zwischen klassischem Jazz, funky New Orleans Grooves, Blues und kreolischer Klaviermusik werden lassen.
