Target group: Hobby and amateur pianists with previous knowledge, semi-professional musicians with and without band experience, classically trained pianists, music educators
Lesson content: History and styles of blues and boogie piano/New Orleans piano, harmony and scale theory, rhythm and phrasing, improvisation and voicing concepts, solo playing and accompaniment in a band, repertoire development, stylistic confidence, etc.
Participants prepare one or two songs, which will be distributed in advance, but can also bring their own material to work on. Using the course materials and discussed practice concepts, participants have the opportunity to continue working systematically at home after the workshop.
