With over a century of jazz history in their fingers, they are masters of classic jazz as well as world music and contemporary styles. They interpret the timeless works of the great jazz legends and enrich their repertoire with their own compositions. In their program, Sieberth and Luley combine a wide variety of piano styles, breathtaking runs, rousing grooves and entertaining background information and take their audience on a highly virtuoso journey through the decades of jazz history. They play on one and two pianos and impress both as soloists and with their masterful interplay. Pianist, composer and producer Lawrence Sieberth is at home in virtually any musical environment. While his musical vision is rooted in jazz, he prefers to merge the many facets of music and performance into a compelling, comprehensive overall experience. Jan Luley is a pianist, singer and composer who studied jazz in Arnhem, Holland, and received his first lessons in New Orleans piano styles from Lawrence Sieberth in 1993. Combining influences from traditional jazz, mainstream, blues and creole music with elements of contemporary listening and playing habits, Jan Luley finds his very own musical statement with a high recognition factor. His latest concert program "Baltic Blues" consists mainly of his own compositions, inspired by numerous stays in Estonia. It shows Luley from a much more modern side and emphasizes influences from contemporary jazz, folk and world music. The Berklee College of Music presented him with an award for "Outstanding Musicianship" in 1995, and in 2011 Jan Luley received a certificate from Mitchell Landrieu, then Mayor of New Orleans, in recognition of his services to the musical tradition and musicians in New Orleans. He has played around 2500 concerts in 18 European countries as well as in Africa, the USA and Israel.
